Everybody says "first, decide what you want to do with your life". Well, I'm still not entirely sure what that is, other than a strong desire to leave this job, apartment, and city behind. I do know that I was interested in Communications even as an undergraduate, and I managed to do quite well in it, so I am at the moment looking at obtaining a Master of Arts in Communication Studies. That is, of course, assuming I can somehow magically make the money appear to pay for such a pursuance.
I googled this, and came up with a few hits. Most were in the state of California, but the one local university I saw was North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I'm setting up a user profile, but I'm already kind of stumped. It asks for an "area of interest" which I gather is a specific field I wish to enter while getting my Master's. Hmmm. I sure wish I knew! I wish it at least provided a combo box of choices as all the others have, but for this one you must write in your answer.
Just cross your fingers for me that I am able to figure something out with this. This is an extremely important part of my life, and I can feel it slipping dangerously away from me. I know that it's no one else's job to walk me through this process, so I'm going to try as hard as I can to make a move myself. I guess I'm writing this here as documentation, so that I can look back on it either the day before I walk across that stage to accept my Master's degree, or once I surpass my tenth year at Lions Services Incorporated. Well ok, let's hope the latter doesn't happen.
